About Education

Young Rose Counselling & Psychotherapy was borne out of a shared passion and commitment to provide a bespoke, professional counselling service to children, young people, parents and carers as well as staff within education environments and the wider community. We aspire to be a trusted and integral part of each setting, offering a bespoke service that aims to:

  • Enhance emotional well-being
  • Reduce stigma associated with mental health
  • Improve access to mental health services
  • Promote academic attainment, progress & attendance

Our approach is led by individual clients, integrating a person-centred foundation with cognitive-behavioural, play, art and group therapy approaches.
Services are designed to meet the needs of individual settings’ current resources, demand and budgets, and can include:

  • Evidence based bespoke evaluation of service needs
  •  Joint funding applications where appropriate
  • On and off-site, one-to-one counselling sessions for students, parents/carers and staff
  • On-site drop-in-self-referral during lunch/break times for students
  • Onsite group sessions incorporating specific themes and resources as appropriate to build resilience, emotional intelligence and coping skills
  • 'Out of hours' service for full range of clients
  • Full data collection with quarterly service provision impact analysis reports for the first 12 months.
